Bob Donohue has been part of the Wildland Fire World for the past 30 years. He has been a Fire Break Technician, Park Ranger, and Senior Park Ranger.
In 2009, he retired as the Supervising Park Ranger for Bidwell Park in Chico, CA, one of the largest municipal parks in the United States (3670 acres). His experience in dealing with the threats of wildfire in large open spaces with deep canyons and dry chaparral areas can help landowners and homeowners understand the hazards they face when living in the Wildland Urban Interface.
A Certified Instructor with the Park Ranger Association of California, he has taught courses in Emergency Communications, Ranger Safety, Fire Safety, and Prescribe Burns as a Vegetation Management Tool.
Bob is a firm believer that if homeowners take proper steps to make their property and homes defensible, fewer fire fighters will be put at risk and more homes can survive wildfire.
His interests include tennis, golf, travel, history, and his family.
