About Wildfire Community Resources

WILDFIRE COMMUNITY RESOURCES (WCR) was founded to provide preparation resources for landowners, homeowners, and communities.

Early preparation for yourself and your property is crucial to the survivability of both. Site preparation begins with establishment of defensible space and the creation of an ignition-resistant home and community. WCR supports homeowner, community group, Fire Safe Council and fire agency events.

FIRE SEASON IS A YEAR-ROUND CONCERN IN MANY COMMUNITIES. Site Evaluations, Preparation, Planning and Mitigation can reduce the impact of wildfire on life and property.

Planning during the winter months in areas that experience high levels of rainfall or snow can prepare you and your community for wildfire. In DRY AREAS, planning and mitigation are year round activities.
